What this site is

wherever.pt is a venue-first way to discover cultural events in Lisbon and Porto.

It focuses on music, performing arts, exhibitions, comedy, markets, flea markets and other programming connected to cultural venues across the city, including smaller independent spaces that are easy to miss.

Founder story

wherever.pt started from a simple frustration I kept having: to figure out what was happening in the city, I had to check a long list of social media pages, venue by venue.

A lot of the most interesting places, especially smaller indie spaces, publish important updates there first or there only. That makes discovery fragmented and time-consuming.

Why this exists

This project exists to make that process easier. Instead of jumping between dozens of profiles, you can use wherever.pt to scan venues, dates, categories and event pages in one place.

What we cover

wherever.pt currently covers Lisbon and Porto.

It includes music, performing arts, exhibitions, comedy, markets, flea markets and other cultural programming connected to venues in those cities.

What we intentionally do not cover

The goal is not to be a complete directory of every event in Portugal.

The site is not focused on covering every conference, corporate event, nightlife listing, restaurant promotion, or one-off plan that falls outside the cultural venue focus.

How it works

wherever.pt compiles event and venue information from public sources and from submissions sent through the website form, then organizes it by city, venue, date and category.

The submission flow can be used both to submit an event and to suggest a venue or place that should be tracked on the site.

Removals, suggestions, and contact

If you are an organizer, venue representative, or rights holder and want an event or venue/place listing corrected or removed, you can request it by email:

wherever-support@protonmail.com

For new event submissions and venue suggestions, the preferred option is the submission form. You can still use the same email address for corrections, fallback contact, and other inquiries.

We do our best to keep information accurate and up to date, but we recommend confirming details with the official organizer, venue, or source page.
